GTA 5 Online DNS Servers Still Running As Hackers Return

GTA 5’s multiplayer mode has finally escaped the clutches of hackers which had ruined the game’s economy. Rockstar responded swiftly taking each and every hacker out of the public lobby, straight into a special cheater’s lobby. They will remain there for an unknown period of time.

Following the capturing of hackers, Rockstar immediately rolled out the 1.09 update which will restore GTA Online back to its normal state. In addition to that, the game will be more secured as Rockstar puts in new sets of DNS coding.

However, it didn’t take long for hackers to retaliate. According to Reddit, hackers are also hard at work in cracking this new security feature. Every network security is hack-able. However, the game developer assured fans that it will take these hackers a while before they can breach GTA Online.

Rockstar even admitted that these hackers are the smart kinds. In spite of that, the game developer promised that even if they manage to enter GTA Online public lobbies, there is nothing much that they can do as Rockstar had done some tweaking to prevent another economic collapse.

Rockstar added that it will continue to upgrade the game’s security consistently to ensure a safe gaming experience for everyone.

One of the changes made to the game is that players are unable to pass around money at the moment. Also, bounties are capped at $9000. With the hack money out of the way, Rockstar can finally start introducing new DLCs to GTA Online.
