There are many devices battling to take centre stage at the MWC this year and one of these is the D6503 from Sony. It is thought that the handset will have features that will rival the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Apple iPhone 6.
We have heard about some of the specs rumoured to be in the Sony D6503, Phandroid said that Sirius handset could have a strong line-up.
The Sony D6503 Sirius may have the 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor along with 3GB of RAM. This would make the handset a strong contender to go up alongside the Apple iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S5.
Photos were leaked by Android Community and these showed the Sony D6503 Sirius has having a look very much like the Sony Xperia Z1. The main differences are the ports and slots, which seem to be in different locations. Along with this the photos showed just one magnetic flap which covers both the USB and SIM slot ports. Rumour also points to the Sony D6503 being lighter and just 6.5mm in thickness.
One thing that could stand out on the Sony D6503 Sirius according to Phone Arena is the 20.7MP camera along with the front camera of 2.1MP, which will have an LED flash and sensor spot.
The camera has been confirmed to have 4K video recording along with Timeshift video, the latter allows owners to apply slow motion effects to videos taken with high frame rates.
Smart Backlight control will ensure that the display doesn’t sleep while the owner is looking at it and Sony are thought to have included Smart call handling to answer or reject a call with motions gestures. The Sony D6503 Sirius will also have glove mode and white balance. The Sony D6503 will arrive with thin bezels around the display of 5.2 inches.
Gizbot reported that in AnTuTu benchmark tests the Sony D6503 scored 32996 which does make it a competitor for both the Apple iPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy S5. The handset should arrive at the MWC this year with a design of aluminium and glass.
