Following the series of hackings in GTA Online, Rockstar has boosted the game’s security. The game developer sent out the 1.09 update which will disable some of the game’s features as they attempt to restore GTA Online back to its usual state.
One of the features disabled is the money gifting option. Players are unable to pass around money with their friends even though it is a mere dollar. It is obvious that this will be the key feature getting disabled. The hacking incident caused an economic meltdown in GTA Online and if that is to be fixed, then it is best if Rockstar stops money getting passed around temporarily.
However, there are plenty of other ways for players to pass some cash to their friends. However, there is no direct way of doing it. One of the methods is through bounty killing which requires a third person to participate. Set a bounty on him and let the money’s recipient do the killing. There is a catch though. Apparently Lester charges $1000 for every bounty set and the reward can be no more than $9000.
The best way to gift a friend is through cars. In every 48 minutes, find an expensive car like a Felon or Sultan and sell it. Make sure you upgrade it as much as possible and avoid placing a tracker on it. Once done, get your friend to sell the car and claim that cash.
At the moment, these are the legit ways to pass around money. It will continue to be the only method to give money away until Rockstar un-freeze the game’s features.
