The Motorola Droid RAZR HD has turned out to be one of the most hotly-anticipated phones of the year, but Verizon is staying hush on the subject. The phone has been leaked several times since April, but no-one knows what it actually looks like or when it will arrive.
Verizon Motorola DROID RAZR HD Lurking In The Shadows
The Motorola DROID RAZR and RAZR MAXX have been popular, but neither of these have a HD screen, and this is the big advantage that the RAZR HD will have. Battery performance has been a big problem with Android phones, and the Droid RAZR MAXX was great here. Its 3,300 mAh battery was the answer to many a prayer, and the RAZR HD is believed to combine a fab screen AND a massive battery. Ding Dong!
A previous leak of the Droid RAZR HD rear plate has shown that it’ll support Verizon’s 4G LTE. The back seems to be made of Kevlar, which will prove to be very protective and unlike its predecessors it seems to be fully composed of it.
There’s been no clear links about the internal specs of the phone, although the benchmark tests were leaked and confirmed there’ll be a 720p display and a nifty Snapdragon S4 chip.
Motorola recently released its Atrix HD, which is like the RAZR and also has a 720p HD screen. The Atrix HD has a 4.5” display, a dual-core 1.5GHz chip, an 8MP camera at the back and a 1.3MP camera in front. It also has 8GB of internal storage (which can be boosted to 32GB), 1GB of RAM, Ice Cream Sandwich and 4G LTE on AT&T.
The internal specs of the RAZR HD are likely to be similar to the Atrix HD on AT&T. The Motorola DROID RAZR HD is very similar to the MAXX and the RAZR in terms of design. The rear panel pic suggests that Motorola has made it really flat, which suggests a 3,300mAh battery. The RAZR HD will also sport a microHDMI and USB port on the bottom.
The fast Snapdragon S4 chip and Qualcomm Adreno 225 GPU, the fab HD screen and big battery, along with ICS or JellyBean out-of-box is bound to make this phone immensely popular with Verizon customers. With the iPhone 5 looming, Verizon should release a few teaser specs – as well as a launch date – to help people make their minds up soon.
We’re scanning the horizon for any information about this phone and will pass it on to you as soon as poss.
