Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 Immune To Unlimited Data Plan Axing If You Pre-Order One Before June 29

Customers of Verizon who pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S3 are able to keep their unlimited data plan. There had been a lot of confusion when Verizon announced the Samsung Galaxy S3 and now with the unveiling of the Share Everything plans; but providing you order the Samsung Galaxy S3 before 28th June you get to keep your plan with unlimited data.

Pre-order a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 & keep your unlimited data plan

To put Verizon customers at ease this news came from the top communications director at Verizon. She told DroidLife in simple terms that providing you pre-order the Galaxy S3 before the 28th June your plan will not change and you won’t need to buy the Galaxy S3 off-contract (avoiding new contracts is the only other way to retain your unlimited data plan otherwise).

Readers had previously reported that they had been in touch with support reps of Verizon and were told that they would lose their unlimited data plans. However this is not the case. The plans for shared data go live from July 9th and even if the Galaxy S3 happens not to be shipped before this time customers will be locked into their phone agreement. It does not matter when the device is actually activated, it goes on when you took out the contract and if you had unlimited data at that time. After all it would not make sense to have to go back online and re-choose a plan just because you did not get your phone in time.

Hopefully this will now set the record straight and there should not be any more confusion or having to decide whether to keep your unlimited data and the phone you have or upgrade to a shiny new Samsung Galaxy S3 and get forced into a tiered data plan. You can have the best of both worlds with the Samsung Galaxy S3!
