It looks like the official announcement of iOS 6 has come by way of banners at the location of the conference. @SteveStreza had been hanging around the center for days and managed to snap photos of the banners on the first floor. The photos stirred up some excitement when posted online and are the first official indications that the new operating system will be revealed at the 2012 conference tomorrow (June 11th).
iOS 6 looks official for WWDC 2012
The banners also confirm that Apple will be making announcements regarding Mountain Lion and iCloud. It is thought that one of the improvements with iOS 6 will be the integration of Facebook into the operating system along with numerous other improvements for usability. At the time of writing the World Wide Developers Conference is just a day away so we don’t have long to wait before the CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, takes center stage and lets us in on the developments of Apple. But will there be any mention of the next generation iPhone i.e. iPhone 5?
Well if rumors serve true then the answer is no and we will only see the iPhone 5 sometime in September or October. Nevertheless the announcement of iOS 6 would be exciting enough. What new iOS 6 features do you think we will see? Sound off in the comments below.
On a side note, we will be at WWDC in San Francisco so stay tuned for live updates of any happenings as we blog it to you. More tomorrow!
