Uncharted 4: Let’s Get Technical

The upcoming Unchartered 4 game has a lot of excitement to it as fans expect it to give a full demonstration of what the PS4 has got to offer. This highly-anticipated PlayStation-exclusive title is currently in production and it seems to be on the right track in terms of meeting those expectations.

Naughty Dog’s lead programmer, Jason Gregory, revealed that the 8GB GDDR5 RAM on the PS4 might be huge but when creating Unchartered 4, it quickly fills up.

Of course, 8GB does not mean the entire 8GB can be used up. Sony has already reserved 3GB for the operation system. As such, game developers have 5GB to toy with.

Then there is the GPU. There is no denying that the latest PS4 is certainly the most powerful gaming console yet. Jason agrees to this by praising the GPU on the PS4. The lad felt that the GPU is more powerful than it needs to be to render graphics at 1080p at 60hz.

While it all sounded great, Jason failed to reveal Unchartered 4’s technical specification. Despite that fact, fans can expect this upcoming game to fully utilize the console. After all, Jason wouldn’t have discovered and experienced all this with the PS4 unless he is raising the technical aspect of Unchartered 4.
