Earlier this year, a new Prius got released by Toyota and it is a big improvement from its predecessor. Obviously, we can expect better fuel economy with every new Prius but the vehicle is no longer just about going green.
This year, the Prius came out with a variety of trim levels. First up is the Prius C, which is a three door hatchback and it is the most fuel efficient of them all. Up one level, consumers will find the Prius V which has a boxier shape to offer more space. There are another three trims of the Prius which are tailored to meet specific needs.
Regardless of the model, the latest Prius is powered by the 1.8-liter four-cylinder gas engine that is paired to a twin electric motor. This returns a whopping 51mpg when driving on the city and 48mpg when driving on the highway.
For a car that is built to go green, it amazed us when the Prius managed to sprint from 0-60mph at around the 10 second mark. The car has 134hp to offer and it is better than most cheap city cars out there.
The Prius is also well-equipped as it comes with features like automatic climate control, cruise control, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, alloy wheels, 60/40 split folding rear seat, and much more.
Purchasing the car with the Advanced Technology package will add in Adaptive Cruise Control, a Lane Departure Warning System, a Pre-Collision Alert System, Advanced Voice Recognition and Hands-free phone System, an upgraded Navigation display, an awesome 8-speaker JBL sound system, and many more.
Safety features included are antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, front side airbags, side curtain airbags and a driver knee airbag.
