Samsung has recently unveiled the upcoming Galaxy S5 and with every flagship device from the phone manufacturer, there are bound to be clones of the device.
We’ve seen it with S4 when Samsung released multiple variants of the device. The Galaxy S5 will be released in April and it will look to continue this trend. Fans can expect the Galaxy S5 Zoom, S5 Prime and the S5 Mini to accompany the main Galaxy S5.
The Galaxy S5 Zoom in particular will have a toned down specs with the device looking to focus more on its camera functions. On the other hand, there is the Galaxy S5 Active as well which will launch in the US by AT&T and Sprint. A tipster revealed that the S5 Active will bear the model number SM-G870x.
This was first spotted on Indian import site, Zauba. Other reports suggest the certification for the device is already done and dealt with. The strange thing is that the Active variant is meant to focus more on durability. The Galaxy S5 is already waterproof and dustproof which puts the question mark on the Galaxy S5 Active.
The only thing we can expect coming on both the S5 Zoom and Active is that it will run on a 4.8inch with 720p display. The processor will be a quad-core 1.6GHz with 2GB RAM and it will run on the Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS.
