A month ago, the world witnessed the Pokebank’s release. What was supposed to be a day of excitement turned sour in no time as the much anticipated service caused the eShop servers to crash. It caught everyone by surprise and that includes Nintendo themselves.
Following that incident, the Pokebank got removed and is due for a re-release. The eShop has been restored and the servers are all stabilized. Nintendo has been bombarded with criticism ever since and fans, particularly in the US, are frustrated on the long quiet delay.
While the fans are hoping for some sort of announcement soon, the Pokebank got rolled out in Japan. The quiet release for the Pokebank was spotted on Twitter where a user uploaded a screenshot of the service being available on the eShop. The information got shared on Reddit and the US Pokemon community is not at all happy.
The fans are disappointed that the most wanted service got released without any announcement as promised by Nintendo. Despite that fact, the US can expect to receive the Pokebank next since Nintendo already laid out its release procedure.
It is still unknown if Nintendo will make an announcement prior to the release in the US. Perhaps it is best for the fans to monitor the eShop on a daily basis. Once the US release is done and dealt with, the Pokebank will look to arrive in the UK.
It is a bittersweet relationship between Nintendo and the US Pokemon community. The fans in the US might by angry on not having any announcement but deep down, they are relief that the Pokebank is finally out.
