After a month of delay, the Pokebank has finally gotten a re-release and fans are rushing to get their hands on this much-anticipated application. It has been a rough waiting period for the fans due to the poor communication with Nintendo. However, this only applies to the Japanese market.
The Pokebank is still pending for a release in both the North American and European region. While it might sound like good news for the entire Pokemon community, those players from North America and Europe must be frustrated having to watch the Japanese being first to enjoy the Pokebank.
The release was announced on Nintendo’s Twitter which states that the application is now available for users in Japan effective immediately. The release is a positive one. It could be that Nintendo has upgraded the servers and discovered a way to control the traffic flow.
It appears that Nintendo is doing a per-region release, starting with Japan. While the servers might be upgraded, it could be that the developer would want to prevent a repeated tragedy. As such, rolling the Pokebank out based on region will control the traffic.
At the moment, Nintendo has yet to announce the release date for both North America and Europe. Since the company caught Japan by surprise, it is best for players to start keeping an eye on their eShop.
