Motorola has already confirmed that the Moto G will be getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update but the way the tech firm is rolling the firmware out can get really confusing.
Moto G users are already sharing with us that they received an update prompt earlier today and it came out with the title Future Update. The confusing bit is that the update has a very small size and it only takes seconds to complete.
Then a prompt will be raised asking for the user to find an update via Motorola Update Services. However, this can only be accessed if users are to tap on the More Info option on the prompt. Unfortunately, Motorola Update Service came out with fruitless results and it made things more confusing.
We made an investigation on the matter and believe it to be a software glitch. The Future Update is actually meant to be the Lollipop update but was wrongfully launched. Regardless, its availability means that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Moto G is a matter of days away now.
