Since most smartphones will stop getting software updates after two years, it would not surprise us if the LG G2 does not end up getting the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS at the end of the day but there is still hope for the old flagship model.
The Verison LG G2 was spotted getting benchmarked. Not only does this indicate that the Marshmallow update might be coming for the LG G2 but it also showed how the LG G2 would perform after getting the Marshmallow.
The good news is that the LG G2 is definitely powerful enough to handle the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. After the device might not be able to use some of the new features on the new Marshmallow OS but it will be able to run on the Marshmallow.
There is still no word on whether the LG G2 will end up getting the update or not but since the test showed that it can handle the OS, maybe some custom ROM developers would take it upon themselves to come out with a Marshmallow custom ROM for the LG G2.
