There has been speculation that we may see the release of the Apple iPhone 6 in May but fans of the iPhone may want to take this with a pinch of salt, as the legitimacy of the report isn’t known. It was also said that the Apple iPhone 6 could be increased in size, possibly to 5.7 inches, which would put it in the category of the phablet. Another rumour was that the iPhone 6 may have the rear sensor that was introduced with the Apple iPhone 4S.
It has been said that the iPhone 6 could be the best out of all the previous generations for the camera thanks to it having shooting capabilities that are new and exciting. BGR pointed out that Apple are making updates to the camera but said at the same time that they have refused to go into a megapixel war with other handsets.
This may mean a camera of around 8MP, which is a huge difference to the high megapixels typically seen on the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4.
According to Unwired View we can hope to see some improvements for optical image stabilisation and auto-focus.
The blog also said that Apple had filed for a patent recently which led them to believe that the device would have a package that was familiar along with improvements to the handsets capabilities. They said:
“Miniature cameras are becoming increasingly common in mobile electronic devices such as smartphones. There is a constant drive to improve performance of such cameras, while still maintaining the same envelope.” The report also said “While Apple don’t want to get into the megapixel wars it does appear that they might have given in to displays that will be more in line with devices on Android.”
GottaBeMobile suggested that Apple would stick with the 8MP camera but it would have a larger casing as the display could be boosted to 5.7 inches.
Rumoured specs of the Apple iPhone 6 suggested that Apple may be about to launch three iPhones. Two of these could be phablet sized at around 4.7 and 5.7 inches, these could arrive in May. The Apple iPhone 6 may then arrive in September.
We also heard that Apple may be considering going into the phablet market and they may call the iPhone 6 the Apple iPhone Air. This is rumoured to arrive around May.
Rumours also suggest that Apple could reveal an indestructible Liquidmetal case which could be coated in Sapphire glass. Specs have been said to include a 64 bit processor and a new OS by way of iOS 8.
As usual this is speculation at the moment and we are somewhat wary of it.
