The HTC One M8 is already out and selling like lemonades at the busiest street junction. Similarly, the Google Play edition is being sold rather quickly as well. However, little do consumers know that there is a certain degree of difference between the two devices.
For a start, the HTC One M8 GPE is able to offer users with plenty of features from the original version. While it may be a stock Android, users can still enjoy some of the stock features like photo editing with an HTC original app and such.
Of course, with the original, users get more like UFocus, Dimension Plus, or Touch Up, among others. Nevertheless, HTC One M8 GPE offers Boomsound. However, it can’t be disabled unless a headset is plugged in.
Both HTC and Google also included the Motion Launch feature on their respective devices. With the feature, users can wake up their HTC One M8 with a double tap, swipe left to unlock and press the volume up button to snap a picture.
While many HTC original applications might be missing from the GPE, there is always the Google store to find a third party replacement. In fact, even HTC original apps are there except for Blinkfeed.
