For a long time now Half Life 3 has been something of a myth among gamers, however now the creator of Counter-Strike has confirmed that the game is in development.
Le Minh gave the revelation and he had previously worked at Valve on the Counter Strike game. However he has now left to work on projects of his own. In an interview with Twitch, which was seen by Neofaf, he confirmed that he had seen some of the content of Half Life 3.
He said that he had seen images and concept art that ‘could be in the Half-Life universe’, so this will cause some excitement among gamers waiting for news about the game.
He went on to say “I think it’s kind of public knowledge that people know that it is being worked on, so if I was to say ‘yeah, I’ve seen some images’ like some concept art of it that wouldn’t be big news.”
We have in fact seen some concept art before that has been linked with Half Life 3, so we are not that surprised.
He said “I guess I could say that I did see something that could be in the Half-Life universe. I mean it wouldn’t surprise anyone if I said yeah they’re working on it.
“To go out on a limb, I would say I did see some Half-Life 3 concept art.”
He then said that news about Half Life 3 being under development was old news and then he went on to talk about the new Left 4 Dead, however he was under the impression that this had already been announced by Valve, but in fact they haven’t revealed it.
“It wouldn’t be any news if I said ‘yes, I saw it’ and it looks great,” said Minh. “I was really excited when I saw that, like ‘wow, this looks great’.”
So it is looking as though Left 4 Dead 3 and Half Life 3 have now both been confirmed.
