With every passing day, the Xbox 360 and PS3 console loses its influence in the gaming industry. Soon, their time will expire as the new consoles take over.
EA is no different as it is beginning to forget about the gen 3 consoles. In the upcoming FIFA 15 game, the game developer confirmed that the PS4 and Xbox One versions will get more features than their respective predecessors.
The series’ producer, Sebastien Enrique, revealed that it is not about giving the gen 4 consoles any special treatment whatsoever. It is just optimizing FIFA 15 for the new consoles. The lad further added that EA does not want to restrict FIFA 15 from blossoming.
So instead of the next-gen FIFA 15 developers thinking about the gen-3 consoles, it is the Xbox 360 and PS3 team that should try and keep up with their successors
Sebastien also hinted on a couple of features that is not expected to feature on the gen 3 consoles. Both the PS4 and Xbox One version will have a TV-style presentation. On top of that, there is the inclusion of and adaptive contextual AI that will affect the morale of the players throughout a match.
It seems the only way for football lovers to try out these features is by taking that leap to the world of gen 4. That is where the future is and the industry is fast shaping up for it. FIFA 15 is just the beginning. Soon, more and more games will ignore the Xbox 360 and PS3.
