This means that the same jailbreak should work on the 1st gen iPad and the 4th gen iPod. This is down to the fact that all of these have the same processor. However the latest iPhones come with processors that are newer and this means they have extra security.
The Apple iPhone 5S and 5C battered the community of jailbreakers as they have been too hard to jailbreak. If anyone is able to do it, it would be the Evad3rs as they have been behind the jailbreaks for the Apple iPhone 5S and 5C which ran on iOS 7.
The Evad3rs have kept quiet about an iOS 7.1 jailbreak, they seem to have left this down to Winocm.
Word has gone around that the Evad3rs are working on a jailbreak in secret for iOS 7.1, but then other people have suggested that they are waiting for the release of iOS 8 by Apple.
Thanks to Cydia there have been many tweaks and these are able to make iOS 7 run just like iOS 7.1. Even so there are people who want the hackers to launch a jailbreak for iOS 7.1.
iOS 7.1 fixed many of the loopholes that the Evad3rs found and it came with added security. The Evad3rs haven’t been able to beat this up to now. It could be that they are waiting for iOS 8.
So if you want to jailbreak your device, for the time being you should stick with iOS 7 and not make the update to iOS 7.1.
Wincom has been showing off the jailbreak on the iPhone 4 with iOS 7.1 and it has been said that iH8sn0w is working on a jailbreak for the Apple iPhone 4S.
It is looking as though progress has been made and we may see a jailbreak for iOS 7.1 in the future. Who knows, we could eventually see jailbreaking being added into the Oxford dictionary, just as Twerking has recently.
