The hackers said that they are not focusing on releasing an iOS 7.1 jailbreak, this is down to the fact that they are working on a jailbreak for iOS 8, when Apple launches it.
More than likely Apple will offer iOS 8 alongside the iPhone 6 this year, quite possibly at the WWDC, this is what Apple has done in the past.
Winocm launched a jailbreak for iOS 7.1 and then posted a video showing it running on the Apple iPhone 4, the 1st gen iPad and 4th gen iPod Touch.
However the new iPhones do seem a lot harder to crack as Apple have boosted the security features.
