For decades now, Jeep has dominated the 4×4 market in America and it is about time for it to face a serious challenge. American carmaker, Chevrolet, is currently developing the Niva, which is tipped to be the Jeep Renegade killer.
As exciting as it sounds, it is disappointing as there isn’t much information on the Niva. The only thing that is confirmed is that the Niva will be a massive off-roader. It will be equipped with BFGoodrich tires, a winch, snorkel, underbody cladding, tow hooks, integrated lamp guards, auxiliary lighting and roof rack.
Regardless of the features, we can expect the Niva to feature that hallmark positive sign attached on its grille.
It is also revealed that the Nava will be partly developed by Lada. The SUV will be the product of a joint venture between Lada and Chevrolet, under the supervision of General Motors.
