Not every day do we get to say that a vehicle is a Ferrari killer and this is why the Tesla Model S P85D deserves all the attention right now. The latest model in the Model S family simply has unlimited torque to offer and when paired together with performance parts, it is unstoppable.
In detail, the P85D is now equipped with a second electric motor which powers the front wheels, thus turning the average Model S into an AWD car. As for the performance, the P85D is able to accelerate from knots to 62mph in 3-seconds flat. This is much faster than the Ferrari 468.
Unlike petrol-powered super cars, the P85D taste no delays in power as electricity gets digested faster. Of course, being an EV, the P85D is still an efficient car to drive. Owners can opt for RWD-only mode and the car will handle itself like the original Model S.
Tesla surely deserves the credit for showing great progress with EV technology. At this rate, it won’t be long before the Model S is able to enjoy a top speed that is in the same bracket as the Ferrari and Porsche.
