It was initially speculated that the upcoming 2017 Honda CR-V was going to come in with a new design based on the Honda Pilot but it looks like the CR-V have gotten over the Pilot and is now looking at the Honda Civic for inspiration.
We have got no complaints whatsoever. The Honda Pilot has its charm but the Honda Civic’s younger looking design would be a nice change. This rumor started after spies spotted the Honda CR-V test mule.
The test mule design matches what we have seen on the new Honda Civic. The grille, headlight, and taillight seem to have been carried over. It was also reported that the upcoming Honda CR-V could be riding on the Honda Civic Platform when it arrives.
As for the engine option, it is believed that the Honda CR-V will be powered by a 1.5 liter VTEC Turbo engine or a 2.0 liter VTEC Turbo engine when it arrives.
