An insider has come out to reveal that the next Toyota Prius will be delayed until the end of 2015. This is due to Toyota, which is not impressed with the efficiency of the 4th Generation Prius.
The Japanese carmaker will be looking to make some adjustments to the 2015 Prius, at least until it is able to satisfy Toyota in terms of going green.
From the sound of it, the Prius will only enter mass production in late 2015 and will be available to the market in 2016.
Then again, Toyota has not made any official announcements on the delay and it is best to take it with a pinch of salt. Knowing Toyota, they will do whatever it ensures that the Prius arrives on time.
