It is no secret that Honda will be giving the Accord a new look next year but nobody has a clue on what sort of design clues will feature on the upcoming mid-size sedan. This is until today when the recent Beijing Auto Show gave us a glimpse on how the next Accord will look like.
Of course, the vehicle in question didn’t feature on the Auto Show but the DongFang Spirior did. Unless you’ve heard, the latter is basically the Honda Accord but renamed for the Chinese market.
The Spirior took the stage in to show off its new looks that will be the way of the future. At a glance, many can mistake it for the Honda Civic Type-R, which is due for a release at the end of this year.
Honda revealed that the Spirior will be getting significant advancements in exterior design, dynamic performance and technologies as well as safety features. It will have a 2.4 litre direct injection four cylinder gasoline engine that has been paired alongside an 8 speed DCT transmission.
Furthermore, the Spirior is equipped with all the latest safety features like blind spot display, lane departure warning and head up display.
While there are still no quotes on the upcoming Accord Facelift, we can be certain that the official mid-size sedan will be inspired by the Spirior in every way. After all, both vehicles are two of a kind.
