The Ford Bronco has gone missing since the mid-90s and many fans were left waiting on the return of this highly successful SUV. It gets more frustrating when Ford kept their lips sealed on the next Bronco.
However, the rumours are not shy to confirm that the Bronco is in production at it will be powered by either the 4.5L diesel mill or the 3.5L Ecoboost engine. With such powerful engines, the Bronco will surely be in direct competition with the Wranglers from Jeep.
While it may be rare for Ford to opt for a diesel mill, the success of the F-150 Raptor might just convince it to do so. Diesel engines of today are not like anything from the past. It is clean, efficient and also powerful.
Speaking of which, the rumour further hints that the Bronco will be a direct replacement for the Raptor. The latter is approaching a dead end in its production and the rightful replacement would be the Bronco.
Then again, this is still a rumour and is subject to confirmation from Ford itself. As such, it is best to take the above with a pinch of salt, at least until more information gets revealed.
