There is no indication from BMW on the development of the M2 but it didn’t stop the official BMW Blog to share the concept design of the sports car.
When viewing the design, the M2 can be said to be heavily inspired by 1M Coupe, with features that reflects on the new corporate design for BMW. This also explains why the car is painted in orange.
The concept might be unofficial but it has caused many rumours to surface, hinting on the M2 to come in 2016. If this is to be true, then we won’t be surprised if BMW utilized the concept drawn on the blog.
The M-division has never had a hard time in producing new M vehicles for BMW. All they have to do is make the vehicle as light as possible while equipping it with an M3/M4 engine.
