Apple iPhone 5S users on the AT&T network should check their email as the carrier revealed that it has suffered a security breach.
The infiltration which occurred from April 9 to April 21 2014 caused many iPhone 5S users to have their records viewed by the culprits. Personal information like Social Security numbers and call records have all be accessed by a non-personnel.
After further investigation, AT&T confirmed that the hackers were trying to recover carrier-unlock codes for the iPhone 5S. The matter is now in the hands of law enforcers and AT&T confirms that they have taken extra measures to prevent the incident from repeating itself.
All in all, this is a major setback faced by AT&T. On the bright side of things, the carrier is at least honest to keep its iPhone 5S users notified of the incident.
