Square Enix has finally officially announced that their 2011′s PSP game, Final Fantasy Type-0, will hit PS4 and Xbox One consoles in the near future. The game was released only in Japan in 2011 and wasn’t released in any other region since.
Final Fantasy Type-0 will get its visuals pumped up to suit the powerful PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Although Square Enix wasn’t satisfied to release only one game so they decided to also release Final Fantasy Type-0 spin-off, Final Fantasy Agito, to iOS and Android platforms. Agito is also a Japan-exclusive and was released in the previous month. Both games are expected to take place in the same territory as its predecessor, Final Fantasy XIII, which is the Fabula Nova Crystallis subseries. Final Fantasy Agito is planned to be a free-to-play title with in-app purchases.
“I’d like to start this out by thanking everyone who let us know how badly you wanted this game to come to North America,” wrote Square Enix product manager Sakura Minamida on the PlayStation Blog. “Ever since the original PlayStation Portable release in Japan, you guys have never given up on it, raising your voices in an effort to see this title come to North America and Europe.”
Neither Final Fantasy Type-0 or Final Fantasy Agito has confirmed release dates.
