If you were interested in the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe Concept at this year’s Shanghai Motor Show, then we have some exciting news for you. The compony have given confirmaton that this model will be going into development and that the road-going model will most likely be seen at the beginning of next year at the New York Auto Show.
Mercedes’ G-Class boss, Dr. Gunnar Güthenk gave confirmation at an event sfter this week’s Frankfurt Motor Show. He’s very happy in particular with how Mercedes have increased their SUV and crossover lines, and their commitment to this growth is only proven even more with including the BMW X4-fighting GLC Coupe. The figures are telling the truth – sales of the Mercedes crossover and SUV lines have been increased by 25 percent from last year.
Mercedes’ G-Class is even noticing an increase in sales. The G-Class had a record set in sales for 2014 and it looks like they may do it once more this year as sales have are up around 20 percent. The G-Wagen has received a few changes for 2016, such as a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 as the new base engine. Other markets receive a new diesel engine for 2016 and you will get more information on this soon.
