When Playtonic first announces the Yooka-Laylee game, they made it clear that it would be release on all the console including the Wii U but they later announced that they will not be releasing the game on Wii U anymore.
With the condition that Wii U is in right now, it does not surprise us that Playtonic would want to pull out from their Wii U plans. That has angered some of the Wii U backers but luckily, Playtonic is now offering them a second chance.
According to Playtonic, they felt bad about abandoning their Wii U fans and has now agreed to let those that backed up the project to pick the game up on the other console including the upcoming Nintendo Switch.
If you don’t plan to get the Nintendo Switch, you can make the Switch right now but those looking to get the Nintendo Switch version will have to wait until the end of the month before they can switch. Bear in mind that the game’s arrival date for Nintendo Switch has not been announced yet so you might get it later than the PS4, Xbox One, and PC version.
The other console will be getting the game on the 11th of April.
