There had been some news that the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini might never get the Jelly Bean 4.2 and 4.3 update since there are issues on Samsung’s signature UI, TouchWiz. But there is no need to feel sad since there is an alternative to that. The CyanogenMod 10.2 Jelly Bean ROM is here to save the day. This custom ROM has the TouchWiz UI removed and since there is also no bloatware, the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update would run smoothly on the Samsung Galaxy S3 mini.

Before you install, please make sure you fulfill these requirements;
· This CM 10.2 build is compatible for Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini I8910, I8190L and I8190N.
· Root the Galaxy S3 Mini and install ClockworkMod recovery.
· Backup all your files and data
· Make sure that the battery level is at least 50 per cent.
· Enable USB debugging mode on your Samsung Galaxy Mini
· Install USB driver for Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini on your computer
· Download the CyanogenMod 10.2 custom ROM and the Google Apps to your computer.
If you have fulfilled all the requirements above, you can now continue with the installation. Please take note that CyanogenMod 10.2 is a custom ROM which requires manual installation that may damage your device. Install this ROM at your own risk.
Follow these steps carefully to make the installation.
· Connect your Galaxy S3 Mini to the computer.
· Copy the CM 10.2 custom ROM and the Google Apps zip files into your Galaxy S3 mini SD card.
· Disconnect your S3 Mini and turn it off.
· Reboot into recovery mode by pressing and hold Volume Up + Home + Back keys at the same time till the Samsung logo appears.
· Inside the recovery mode, create an Android backup of the current ROM. Select “backup and restore > backup”.
· Perform wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, and wipe Dalvik cache
· Begin installing the CyanogenMod 10.2 by selecting “install zip from SD card > choose zip from SD card > find and select the CM 10.2 copied earlier.
Reboot your Galaxy S3 Mini. The first reboot might take longer than usual. Your Samsung Galaxy S3 mini should now run on CyanogenMod 10.2 Android Jelly Bean 4.3.
