Mazda has yet to announce the retail price for the Mazda CX-5 here in the US but we might have a rough idea of how much it is going to cost after Mazda release some additional detail of the Mazda CX-5 in Japan.
Not only did Mazda reveal the price tag of the Mazda CX-5 but they also release the engine options that the Mazda customers in Japan will be getting. The base model will be fitted with a 2.0 liter SkyActiv-G engine that will be delivering about 155PS and 196Nm of torque. The engine will come mated to a six-speed auto transmission.
The other engine option includes a 2.5-liter engine with 190PS and 251Nm of torque and a 2.2-liter diesel engine that will be offering about 175PS and 420Nm of torque. According to Mazda, the Mazda CX-5 will also come with safety features like brake support and Advance Smart City.
So how much will you need to get yourself one? Well, in Japan, the Mazda CX-5 will retail for 2,462,400 yen which is about $20,800.
