Late last month, Sony Xperia revealed that it won’t be launching the Z4 outside of Japan but the Z3 Plus instead. This upcoming device will basically be based on the highly successful Z3, except for the fact that it has got its hardwares boosted.
Now, Sony has returned to share that the Xperia Z3 Plus is going to retail €699 in mainland Europe. Things are slightly cheaper in the UK where the Z3 Plus will retail for £550. Converting this to USD, the Z3 Plus will cost about $750.
For $750, it is not worth it. This is because the Z3 Plus does not sound promising in terms of features and performance. For that same fee, one can get a proven success in the name of the LG G4. The again, the Z3 Plus is going to run on the problematic Snapdragon 810 SoC. It will be interesting to see if Sony can solve the issue with the 64-bit processor. If solved, then it is worth it.
On the contrary, the Z3 Plus is expected to be cheaper than it sounds. Judging from the pricing patterns of previous Z smartphones, Amazon is expected to reduce the Z3 Plus launch price by $100. The best way is for consumers to hold from buying the phone as prices are expected to dip quickly.
