The Ford Focus RS will be coming in to compete with some of the top hot hatches in the market including the popular Volkswagen Golf R but does the Golf R have what it takes to take on the Focus RS?
The Ford Focus RS will be powered by a 2.3 liter inline 4 engine that will be offering about 350hp and 350lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The Focus RS will also be fitted with a few handy features including the DRL, fog lights as well as cornering lights.
The Volkswagen Golf R, on the other hand, will come with a 2.0 liter inline 4 engine that will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The engine will be offering about 292hp and 280lb ft of torque and will return about 22mpg in the city and 31mpg on the highway. The Golf R will be fitted with features like traction control, dusk-sensing headlights and stability control.
