There is still a lot that we do not know of the 2018 Honda CR-V but one of the speculations is that the 2018 model will be coming with a hybrid engine option. However, some people are saying that it is too late to matter.
While Honda seems to be taking their own sweet time with the hybrid upgrade, Toyota has already gone ahead and offered the Toyota RAV4 with a hybrid option. It is believed that the addition of the hybrid engine has helped boost the Toyota RAV4 sales by 10%.
Despite the sudden boost in sales, the Honda CR-V is still ahead of the RAV4 in terms of sales but if they keep holding back the hybrid option, the RAV4 might catch up to them.
The Honda CR-V currently runs on an 185hp engine that will allow it to return about 26mpg in the city and 32mpg on the highway. The RAV4 hybrid, on the other hand, retunrs about 34mpg in the city and 31mpg on the highway.
