One of the most distinctive features about the last Ford F-150 Raptor was its loud engine noise thanks to the gutsy V6 engine but that all change when Ford brought in the new 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor.
Instead of the V6 engine, the Ford F-150 Raptor will now be powered by a new turbocharged engine and the Raptor fans were not too happy about that. However, now that we know how much the Raptor will benefit from the engine, maybe the upgrade wasn’t that bad after all.
Thanks to the new turbocharged engine, the Ford F-150 Raptor will now be offering about 450hp and 510lb ft of torque. That is about 49hp and 76lb ft of torque more than what the previous model was offering.
Besides getting more power, the Ford F-150 Raptor is also more fuel efficient now. The 2017 model will return about 15mpg in the city and 18mpg on the highway which means it is 4mpg more efficient in the city and 2mpg more efficient on the highway.
