We don’t see people comparing the Volvo XC60 and the Mazda CX-5 right now mainly because both these models do not belong to the same segment right now but that could be changing soon.
While Mazda has not made any announcement yet, it is believed that Mazda might be working to upgrade the Mazda CX-5 so that it can come in as a premium model. If that happens, the 2017 Mazda CX-5 could be coming in to compete with the Volvo XC60 in the near future.
So what can we expect from the 2017 Mazda CX-5? Well, we know that Mazda is looking to give the Mazda CX-5 an exterior upgrade. We are still expecting the see the same kind of design but maybe with a few tweaks here and there.
Some fans were hoping that the upgrade would mean that the Mazda CX-5 will be coming with a new and more powerful engine but nobody knows if that is going to happen for sure. If the Mazda CX-5 does come as a premium model, the 2017 model should also come with a bigger price tag.
