The current Chevrolet Corvette can’t take on the 2018 Ford Mustang GT500 but what if Chevrolet decided to give it a powertrain upgrade? Well, it looks like even with the upgrade, the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 will still be trailing behind the Ford Mustang GT500.
We already know that the 2018 Ford Mustang GT500 will be coming in with an 8000hp engine. It is said that Chevrolet is working on a new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 model that will come with an upgraded engine. After the upgrade, the vehicle goes from delivering 650hp to 700hp.
700hp is impressive but it is definitely not as impressive as what the Mustang GT500 will be offering. In fact, it would have a hard time competing with the currently Hellcat-powered Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat model which delivers about 707hp.
