Land Rover Discovery has long served the masses as the ideal vehicle for the toughest driving terrains. The Discovery has done it all from climbing mountains to crossing the rivers.
Soon, Land Rover will be launching the Discovery LR5 and it is going to come with a new technology like never seen before. The carmaker will be attaching a camera at the bottom of the front bumper and the live feed will be broadcasted over the Discovery’s hood.
The end result is a ‘transparent’ front portion for the Discovery that will greatly assist drivers with understanding the kind of road they are on. In addition to that, drivers will get to see the hidden obstacles that have always been the pain for off-roaders.
Furthermore, the camera will look at the areas that can’t be seen by the drive. This includes the lower front of the vehicle and the surrounding terrain from underneath the hood. A projector will be in place at the top of the vehicle and will play the live feed on the hood. The angle is measured precisely to make the driver think that the hood is see-through.
The Discovery LR5 will surely be the ultimate off-road vehicle when it gets release and it will also set a trend for other off-road carmakers.
