Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 Lollipop OS Receives Second Chance

About 2 months ago, Verizon launched the highly anticipated Android 5.0 Lollipop update to the Samsung Galaxy S5 and it automatically became the first ever carrier to roll out the latest OS from Google.

Today, Verizon surprised everyone when it launched the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the second time to the Samsung Galaxy S5. After some deep digging, we discovered that both updates are actually very different from each other.

For starters, this new update brings the firmware to version G900VVRU1BOC4 from version G900VVRU1BNLC. While Verizon has yet to share any changelog, some S5 users shared with us that the update actually fixes the crashing issues, bugs and glitches from the previous Lollipop update.

With that being said, S5 users on the Verizon network should apply the update immediately as it is for the best of the device. If there has yet to be any prompt, then users can manually check for the updates through the Software Update page listed on the S5’s Settings.
