Toyota C-HR Will Challenge The Nissan Qashqai!

Toyota has just revealed that they are producing a new vehicle for the compact crossover segment. Known as the C-HR, it will be looking to challenge the market dominator, Nissan Qashqai, in every front.

When looking at the study, we learned that the C-HR offers a diamond-style design language. This isn’t something very new as such design cues were heavily utilized by Land Rover for the Range Rover Evoque.

In detail, the front, narrow LED headlights fuse with the grille and stretch the width of the car, while vertical LED daytime running lights make the vehicle’s high ground clearance more noticeable. Of course, the C-HR will be sitting one class below the RAV4 due to its smaller size. Some enthusiasts suggested that the C-HR will be replacing the Auris.

Knowing Toyota, we won’t be surprised if the Japanese carmaker equips the vehicle with a petrol-electric powertrain. The hybrid system will be specially developed for the C-HR and it will also be the system for the next Toyota Prius.

While no further information was revealed, we can expect the C-HR to run on the 4WD system to challenge the Qashqai. Of course, this will all be clarified when the C-HR takes the stage in the upcoming Paris Motor Show.
