Activision Moves To Black Ops 3 As COD Ghost Has Its Day

Even though Call of Duty: Ghosts hasn’t been out long, its developer Activision has been quick off the mark with the follow-up.

Modern Warfare is over and one with, so this follow-up is likely to be a Black Ops title, which is one of the more successful titles that franchise has had. If you look at the Black Ops release pattern, an early 2014 release for Black Ops 3 makes sense.

There are some hints about Activision breaking with its routine, though. It might seem that Modern Warfare is over, but there might be a Modern Warfare 4, as Sledgehammer Games is still working with Activision. Sledgehammer was responsible for MW3.

Activision needs to up its game, though, as the players are getting a bit jaded with Call of Duty. The sales are declining as the fans are finding the gameplay a bit repetitive. The quality also seems to be falling, so the company needs to make the gameplay better.

Activision is set to have a busy 2014 aside from Call of Duty. The developer will be releasing Skylanders: Hearthstone, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls, Destiny and a new World of Warcraft.
