Fans of the Resident Evil franchise are in for another round of disappointment. The release of the Resident Evil 6 sparked a lot of arguments among fans and majority of them found the game to be out of its roots. The gameplay have changed so much that there is no longer the thrill that was present when the first title debuted. Resident Evil 6 is more of an action game rather than horror.
With that being said, how will game developer Capcom respond to this? The voices of the fans are loud and clear. However some suggest that it is too late to change anything. Fans are hoping for the next sequel, the Resident Evil 7, to return back to its traditional gameplay. Their hopes might not bear fruits at all.
This is due to the fact that the Resident Evil 7 had already begun production, one month after the release of Resident Evil 6 supposedly. The criticism from the fans came late as development for the next instalment was already in motion.
As a result, the possibility of seeing the same annoying mistakes is possible. So we may see Capcom repeat history and annoy Resident Evil fans again with Resident Evil 7. As we’ve said before, Resident Evil 6 is nothing like the original game.
