New Mazda CX-5 Interior Facelift: Planting The Screen On The Dash

The Mazda CX-5 has been awarded with countless trophies for being the best SUV in recent years. However, Mazda still feels that the vehicle could have been better. While the CX-5 might be flawless, Mazda claims that they will look to improve on the interior design of the vehicle.

In the future CX-5 Facelift, the interior will be rearranged to be neater and appear more luxurious than before. Mazda aims to achieve this through removing the infotainment system from the centre console and plant the feature on top of the dashboard instead.

Doing so will free up more space for the centre console, thus, making it look less cluttered than before. As for the infotainment screen, it will simply be a screen panel standing above the dashboard.

Fans of the CX-5 can already catch a glimpse on how the interior will be like after Mazda unveiled its concept model back at the last LA Auto Show. The Japanese carmaker also confirmed that this will be how the Facelift’s interior will appear like when it makes its debut next year.
