One thing about announcing a game too early is that fans are expecting the game a lot sooner and when the developers do not deliver the game in time, the fans getting impatient. They also tend to judge the game more when it arrives later than expected.
Square Enix’s initial plan was to release the game this year which was probably why they choose to announce and release the trailer for the game Kingdom Heart 3 at E3 last year. However, they later came out to announce that they have decided to switch the engine of the game which means they will almost be starting things from the beginning.
Based on what we know right now, we do not think that Kingdom Heart 3 will be able to make it this year. So did Square Enix dug their own grave by decided to announce the game last year?
