Rockstar’s GTA 5 is fast approaching its first birthday but the game developer is still pending to introduce the heist feature for the game’s multiplayer mode, GTA Online. Now, the hopes have been restored after the upcoming 1.17 update source code got leaked into the internet.
YouTube tipster, DomisLive, explained that the source code came from the Test DLC which was working undercover when Rockstar halted their online servers temporarily for maintenance work back in late September last month.
Of course, the Test DLC could be just about anything other than heist. However, the hacker discovered a Leaderboard feature in the source code which further hints that it is the Heist DLC everyone has been waiting for.
If everything is as predicted, gamers could see the heist feature coming in the future 1.17 update. Then again, Rockstar has yet to indicate on when the update will take place but gamers can expect it to arrive by the end of this month.
