Ford GT To Retail At $400,000?

It is no secret that Ford is currently developing the next-gen GT model but little is known on how the carmaker will value its ultimate jewel. Well, that was the case until Geneva Motor Show when Ford’s performance chief, Dave Pecirak, tipped that the GT will be priced like the Lamborghini Aventador.

If so, then we are looking at a price tag that is about $400,000. Considering the fact that the GT will be built on carbon-fibre and has more than 600hp to offer, $400,000 does sound expensive and overpriced at the same time.

Then again, Dave also tipped that the Ford GT will be made in limited numbers. Instead of the thousand unit mark like how it was with the previous GT, the upcoming model will be made in hundreds. Hence, the sports car will be more limited than ever before.

Of course, this is just based on our assumptions upon hearing Dave’s remarks on the matter. Ford has yet to finalize the pricing details of the Ford GT but there is no doubt it is going to be more expensive than the previous model, which retailed at $150,000.
