Audi SQ7 TDI: It Is Not A “No” Yet

After the huge diesel scandal, we understand why Audi might be reluctant to offer their Audi SQ7 with the diesel engine here in the US. That is why everybody assume that the Audi SQ7 TDI is not going to make it into the US but it looks like a diesel-powered Audi SQ7 for the US is not out of the picture yet.

According to Autoblog, Mark Dahncke from Audi USA mentioned that the SQ7 TDI is not out of the picture yet and that they are pretty optimistic about it. He also added that if the model does make it way to the US, we can expect to see a TDI engine under the hood.

The Audi SQ7 TDI that we saw at the Geneva Motor Show last week came running on a 4.0 liter TDI engine that will be pushing out about 429hp and 664lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to an 8-speed auto transmission. According to Audi, the vehicle will be able to go from 0-62mph in 4.8 seconds with a top speed of 155mph.
