Audi Electric SUV Only 4-Seater

In 2018 Audi will be releasing a fully electric crossover and with the E-Tron Quattro concept the brand are finally letting us in on what we can expect to see form the vehicle during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. Shown before the event in these five sketches, the car is packed full of lots of cutting-edge tech to make the vehicle as good as it can possible be, and this includes some wonderful matrix laser OLED headlights. Audi have stated that it gives a range of more than 311 miles as well.

It may comes as a surprise that the design of the vehicle is rather aggressive considering it is such a green model and comes with a upright grille in the front and everywhere else it has angular panels. In the rear sketch we see that aerodynamics are improved with design tapering at the back. The E-Tron Quattro concept is able to glide through the air thanks to active aro parts at the front, sides and rear. This together with a flat underbody allows the drag coefficient to be a egment-best 0.25 cd. The production version has been speculated to be called the Q6 and this rumor has been backed by Audi stating the length of the vehicle to be between a Q5 and a Q7.

Audi’s MLB 2 platform from the latest Q7 can be found beneath the muscular design of the vehicle. The all-wheel drive propulsion is provided by three electric motors. Two are found on the rear axle and one on the front. Underneath the passenger compartment there is a lithium-ion battery which makes use of cells from Samsung SDI and LG Chem.

Four people had be seated inside the vehicle and the driver sits in a wrap-around cockpit together with a high center console. OLEDs are found on the front displays togetehr with gesture controls and the passengers in the rear are also provided with their own personal infotainment systems.
