2018 Honda Civic Type R Not Going To Be What The People Wants

By  |

Based on what the Honda Civic has to offer right now, we have no doubt that the Honda Civic Type R is going to look great and from what we know of the Civic Type R, the performance should be on point as well but despite all of that, the Honda Civic Type R is still not going to be what the fans wants.

As nice as the Honda Civic Type R is right now, it is still an FWD model. Fans have been hoping that Honda would start offering the AWD system on the Civic Type R but it does not look like that is going to happen.

The new Honda Civic Type R will be coming in with a 2.0-liter turbo four engine that should be delivering about 320hp, slightly more than the standard model. There were reports suggesting that it might even offer more than that.

Would the fans forgive them for ignoring their wishes once more or is the missing AWD going to be the death of the Honda Civic Type R?

That’s silly. Why would Honda spend the massive resources on developing and maintaining an AWD system that would benefit all trims on a low volume niche vehicle. Tweak the engine, suspension, wheels and body and call it a day.
